BCBS-FL Health Education Programs

The Healthy Addition program is a free prenatal education/early intervention program designed to provide expectant women with information on steps they can take to help with a healthy pregnancy and delivery. The program provides a special emphasis on educating and informing expectant mothers with risk factors that may indicate a complicated pregnancy. All BCBS-FL members can access this program by calling 1-800-955-7635 and press option 6.

Nurse Case Managers provide:

• Pregnancy risk screening and monitoring
• Education on healthy lifestyle and dietary habits
• Prenatal information
• Emotional support and answers to questions and concerns
• Coordination of treatment

Free health coaching sessions over the phone or at work are available to help all BCBS members create a personal wellness plan. Sessions and educational material are free and available in English, Spanish and Creole.
